Our Story
Edge Group was founded in 2019 by Dean McNamara — owner, hands-on tradesman, and the driving force behind the business.
With over 15 years of experience in the trade, Dean recognised the need for a contractor who could deliver high-quality exterior plastering and painting work, backed by honest advice and genuine care for the client.
What started as a way to create flexibility, freedom, and a legacy for his family has grown into a trusted local company known for meticulous workmanship, strong communication, and results that last.

Dean McNamara
The heart of Edge Group, Dean combines technical excellence with a down-to-earth personality. Known for his OCD-level attention to detail, Dean is just as likely to be caught singing or dancing on site as he is to be perfecting the finish on a plaster wall. Clients love his approachable nature, honest advice, and relentless commitment to quality.
Administrator & Apprentice
Amy McNamara
Dean’s wife and the other half of the Edge Group leadership team, Amy has been the organisational backbone of the business for over four years. She keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes while also embracing a new challenge — stepping onto the tools as an apprentice in January. A proud mum to their daughter, Amy brings warmth, determination, and a fresh perspective to both the office and the job site.

Rawiri (aka Rags)
Joining Dean in 2020, Rawiri has been part of the Edge Group story almost from the very beginning. Now a fully qualified plasterer, he’s known for his strong work ethic, booming singalongs on site, and positive, easygoing energy that makes even the toughest jobs enjoyable.
